Faults after Radio Install BMW e90
I just recently installed a used Professional Radio to replace my broken unit. All the features were the same except the newly installed one had a CD changer feature built in which I do not have currenlty. Surprisingly, the new radio worked with sound without any additonal programming.
When I recently scanned the radio with my BT scan tool under the MOST/CAN gateway CD73 module I received a few faults as follows: E18D Wake Up Device tried to wake up network 3-times without success (Error_WakeUp_Failed) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed E18F Central registry does not match with debit configuration (Error_Registry_New) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed E190 Ring diagnosis check done (Error_Ring_Diagnose) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed E191 Too long and/or too many unlocks (Error_Unlock_Long) Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed I have a few activation functions available that I can use with BT tool: -Set Production date -Set Transport date -Set Service mode -Set Wake up mode ON -RAD_ON to supply -Reset CCC Control Unit Would one of the functions on my BT Tool clear these faults? Is the car computer not recognizing my new Radio? Any suggestions would be apprecaited. |

cd-changer is communicated over MOST bus
you radio have multiple errors about MOST bus ring until you code out cd-changer option there errors will come up after every car sleep

Is there any harm to the modules or control units if I don't code out the CD changer?

E18F Fault Code
Hello,
As already written in the first post I‘ve also got a little problem after switching from Radio Professional without MOST over to a Radio Prof unit with MOST. As my car has no onboard MOST Components I installed a MOST loop at the back of the Radio. I have also got an ICOM and the radio was coded via SG_Codieren with an empty PSW file. I should have set up according to VO. Since I installed the new unit there is the E18F Fault Code which always returns after deleting. Can please anyone give me advice how to solve the problem? Do I have to change any coding!? Best Regards, Tom |

Read out the 2rad or 2urad file to see what's enabled.
You can turn of the Most Bus by setting ring status to nicht activ. I am not sure if I spelled activ right but you should only have to add of subtract nicht. CODIERUNG_ERFOLGT codierung_erfolgt CDC nicht_aktiv AUDIO_SYSTEM pl2_hifi pl3_hifi SDARS nicht_aktiv PDC nicht_aktiv ACC nicht_aktiv STANDHEIZUNG nicht_aktiv AUX_RAD aux BAUREIHEX e9x COUNTRYCODE_RADIO us IBOC nicht_aktiv KEY_MEMORY_R aktiv MUTE_TIMES pl2 NACHLAUF_INT_R pl2 RIGHTHAND nicht_aktiv SOFTEN_ENTERTAINMENT_PDC nicht_aktiv TCU_ECE nicht_aktiv TIMEOUT_INT_R pl2 ULF_ECE nicht_aktiv BMW_AKD nicht_aktiv BMW_HOME_DEALER aktiv BMW_INITIALIZE aktiv BMW_MOBILE_SERVICE aktiv BMW_PHONE_SERVICES nicht_aktiv BMW_ROAMING nicht_aktiv BMW_TELESERVICE_ONLY nicht_aktiv RING_STATUS aktiv BLUETOOTH_RAD2 aktiv DISPLAY_LOGIC7 nicht_aktiv HI_TEMP_VOL_CTRL pl2_hifi pl3_hifi SMS_RAD2 nicht_aktiv PHONE_BUSINESS_R2 nicht_aktiv SVS_LOW_RAD2 aktiv BMW_ASSIST_RAD2 aktiv BMW_HOTLINE_RAD2 aktiv DAB nicht_aktiv CAR_COMP_ACTIVE aktiv TCU_JAP nicht_aktiv CONTACT_NR_DEALER aktiv CONTACT_NR_HOTLINE aktiv CONTACT_NR_MOBILE_SRVC aktiv ABS_VOL_GONG e91_hifi CROSSOVER pl2_hifi e90_hifi r56_stereo r56_hifi DELTA_GONG_ENT wert_0 DELTA_PDC_ENT wert_0 RATIO_AUDIO_SOURCES ece us VEHICLE_FILTERS e81_stereo e82_stereo e87_stereo e88_stereo e90_stereo e91_stereo e92_stereo e93_stereo pl2_hifi r56_hifi VOL_TEL_MAX stereo_mulf_e87 hifi_mulf_e87 top_hifi_mulf_e87 stereo_mulf_e90 hifi_mulf_e90 top_hifi_mulf_e90 stereo_mulf_e91 hifi_mulf_e91 top_hifi_mulf_e91 stereo_tcu hifi_tcu top_hifi_tcu VOL_TEL_MIN wert_0 VOLUME_TABLE e91_hifi MY_INFO_RAD2 nicht_aktiv V_INFO_RAD2 nicht_aktiv PHONE_PROF_RAD2 aktiv This is from my pro radio with Most but I have Most Change RING_STATUS to nicht aktiv to turn off the Most Bus. CDC should say nicht aktiv to if you don't have it. I would think your default coding the VO should have established your original code but I would hand code it to be sure. Hi,
thanks for your answer! I cross checked everything but the error remains...
