Clanging Sound at slow speed

I have a 2008 335xi manual and for a little while I've had a weird issue where for example when I am slowly driving around a parking lot and push the clutch in after a few seconds there is a loud clang sound and it almost feels like the transmission falls out. Not problems other than that and I haven't been able to find any forums with the same issue. It does it when I slowly drive around and leave it in gear shortly after switching into first or second. Only does it once until I shift again. Anyone have any issue like this?

My 2006 330Xi used to do this. Maybe 5mph, engage the clutch when approaching a stop sign or something while in a parking lot, and CLANG THUNK THUNK.

...but then nothing? Did it for many years and nothing ever came of it. It hasn't happened on my 335 yet.

I used to have that feeling occasionally in my 535xi. Eventually the transfer case actuator failed and threw a code. Once replaced, the problem went away completely. In retrospect, I suspect it was an early symptom of a failing transfer case actuator.

Taking my XI into a shop this week to figure something similar out.

My issue is that between 15-50MPH, if I let of the throttle, I get this clunking.

Could be the U Joint on the drive shaft..

They weren't able to reproduce the sound...

I raised the car back to stock suspension and the noise went away. However, I still get this clicking sound when turning to the right at low speeds off throttle
