Simple inexpensive L7 upgrade path

Got myself a e92 in the US with L7. Back home, I had an e90 with base audio. I installed an android HU, DAC and fibreoptics to a cadence DSP. Underseats were audiosystem ax08, speakers were focals. Then, I had an IB3 15" in the trunk with a punched ski hole for the infinite baffle system. Best sound I have ever heard. Therefore you can imagine how much the L7 disappoints me. That sais, I do wanna keep the centre channel.
Therefore, how about the focals as my speakers (GBP 190 new), L7 underseats; centre and rears, the amps that I already have. The 9ch high level signals goes to a 8x12 c-dsp and the infinite baffle system. What do you guys think?
TA and EQ will be done using a measurement mic.

No easy path I think you will always remember what you had.
Its hard to modify a logic 7 system connected with Most.

Add a sub or amp and change the under seats seems to be the most common
patch.

I was thinking of feeding the high level signal from the L7 amp directly into the DSP instead of going through a MOST adapter. I might start with the sub upgrade then do the full system when the itch comes back. But I have to spend on a full service first. Got bit by the MHD bug and started getting misfires.

I would start by adding a tweeter to the center channel, amplifying/bandpassing the L7 underseats, and adding the 15" IB sub. That will dramatically improve imaging, mid bass and bass response. Replacing the speakers and keeping the L7 system is complicated and expensive, and does not give you the cleanest signal to do the new speakers justice.

You could look into the Dynavin 7 HU.

You could get a separate amp and use it to power the subs, but you'll need a technique harness to do that.

Or

get an 8 Channel digital signal processor & amp like the Alpine 0850S for example.

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500PXE...PXE-0850S.html

Plus a separate 2 channel amp to power the subs.

I do agree with the above in that you should put a tweeter in the center channel. If you have the sedan, maybe even add them in the rear doors.

You will need some sort of technique harness either way, and a MOST loop or two.

What does the Individual (L7)Amp Cost?
Helix 86 dsp has much more power per channel
than the audison or alpine at about the same
price.

That upgrade will run you $800.00 on eBay used and that's just for the speakers.

The individual amp is almost $3000.00 brand new. No lie. BMW thinks very highly of their individual amp.

Still really want to learn if it is plug and play.
