So as I said, I connected two wires of FLA to FZD to X14286 as described in this thread. Here is photo of FZD for easier understanding http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-B3FFH_Gj-I..._konektori.png
Four wires from mirror I connected to X14288 like on this photo: http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1308780520
I didnt use original retrofit wires in same colors like on , I bought OEM black wires with pins so I will write down where which is connected:
Gray/violet on pin 1 on mirror - missing on mine, not connected
green/white pin 3 - pin 20 on FZD
black/brown pin 4 - pin - 14 on FZD
brown white pin 5 - pin 16 on FZD
brown/black pin 10 - pin 15 on FD

you need to connect 8 pin to fzd for fla and you need to connect pin 1 to fzd if you want that your auto-dim feature deactivated when rear drive engaged

well i've did such retrofit few months ago and such mirror contain two subsystems, auto-dim and FLA, and they are powered by separate circuits because FLA activated only when ignition signal (30) activated
so check your mirror more carefully or provide it's part number

Right... and he said

"But on my mirror number 8 pin dont exist, there is empty place."

I wonder if he really means the mirror or the connection to the FZD... if the latter he needs the BMW retrofit wiring harness too so he can wire up the missing connection.

How I can try more combinations of connections ifI have only 2 wires and 2 places to connect?
3 Places to connect not 2.
1 on the mirror & 2 places on the ceiling panel module.

So that is creating multiple possibilities.

Unfortunately I didn't record my final wiring or have photos of it.

But I followed the DIY guides which are on this forum & you can refer to my thread bout FLA diy where I linked all the posts & details

Read my thread you will see how much headache I had with this.
I had at least 3 different scenarios of wiring where 1 module would activate, another would disappear.

Also take a photo of your mirror connections & your FZD panel connection & post here

You don't know the wiring is ok until you upload screenshots from INPA showing the modules that are currently detected by your car.

As I said I was 250% sure my wiring was okay until I realised that I could see 3 different scenarios of modules being detected or not detected by my car just by changing wiring.

Check INPA, upload screenshots, then you'll know for sure.

Hello,
is this correct screen form INPA?

I tried to switch brown/black and black/brown wire which is possible mistake but didnt work either. Can someone who has FLAplease take a picture or write down wiring from his FZD module to be sure that wiring is 100% right?

Hey bro yeah I think that's the right screen (although mine's english)
You don't seem to have many modules... I have like 26 lol

Anyway I can see your FLA isn't on just like we assumed.
Sorry I didn't write wiring plan down but opjose posted his wiring in my thread too so have a look there.

Check out my post in my DIY thread
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...40&postcount=8

Bro by the way just to let you know, when I did my wiring, I did it almost purely based on that video. It was entirely trial and error.

Now that you have the INPA screen on, take screenshots, change your wiring around then come back.
Eventually you will see modules changing in INPA and you will find the right way.
It's trial and error and don't worry if you get Error messages on dashboard along the way

Is this your old mirror or you new mirror?

I just looked at three mirrors, one with FLA and two others that were replaced by mirrors with FLA.

All had pins in 3,4,5,8,9 & 10.

One also had pins in 1, 6 & 7.

Please post the original Ebay listing for it.

We've found that often the part number given is not what is stamped on the mirror itself.

Its my new mirror. Pins are there depending on functions mirror have, mine has only autodimming and FLA, I dont have homelink, alarm etc. so there are no much wires. Original listing from Ebay is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/122298204019...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It never fails

The part number you gave is NOT the part number for the mirror you received.

The mirror you received is 922597601.

I can't even find it on Realoem, so it might not be a standard mirror.

No it is 922597601

The part number is stamped right on the mirror. That is why I asked to see the ebay listing.

The people who post on ebay often get the part numbers wrong.

Anyone know if there is any real difference between the Round / Square cameras?

Should we consider newer year model mirrors to have better FLA sensors?

Well that was dumb of me.

Thanks!

It does appear in Realoem as a EC/FLA only mirror.
