Shop or private PE Mod

I am looking for a shop or someone who is able to perform the PE Mod on the OEM exhaust on my N55 335 located somewhere in Northeastern Ma or Southern NH.

Any exhaust shop should be able to do it. I would call a Lou's.

Cut open muffler, remove packing, replace perforated pipe with solid pipe, weld back, spray paint, install with custom tips, done.

Just don't make it sound complicated for them or call it the PE mod. Just tell them exactly the work you need done.

They won't. I asked a few of them at least.

They'll just try to sell you a new muffler or something.

They are all independent so who knows. Seems like it would be up their alley as all they do is bend and weld pipe.

Who did yours?

these dudes just did a really nice job on a custom exhaust for my s52 e30. If you know the old SKIPS in plaistow they are a branch off of his tree. Reasonable and creative.

They used to work on my e36 back in the day, and I can vouch for their work. I doubt they will do a PE mod though... I should call and ask.

Through a friend, I found a guy who used to be a top tech at Girard BMW who opened up his own shop in NL. Wants to see my car in person before he gives an estimate, but I will keep you guys informed. He's pretty book at the moment he said

Any updates on this? After calling half-a-dozen Euro and exhaust shops, the only one that had heard of the PE Mod wanted $450 with 5 hours minimum labor. Still looking for cheaper options..

That is an insane price. You can buy a real one used in great condition for only a fraction more.
