Small detail, but I'm wondering if you replaced your side markers with aftermarket ones? Because I don't see the amber.

I see you've also got the painted front reflectors. I just ordered those for my 335is as well.

Front lip, black rims...

All these details really add up and make your car look clean! Well done. Planning anything else?

Looks good! Interested to see how it looks with the new rims.

What happened to your painted front reflectors?

Anyone replace their xenon low beams? Mine seem pretty yellow, my 2009 pre-LCI xenons were more white than these.

I think I'm going to replace mine soon, I need to get in there anyway to make some final adjustments on my coilovers now that they're basically done settling.

Sup everyone, I think I'm in the right place.

Checking in with my new 2011 Mineral white / coral red with the DCT.

Previous owners weren't exactly the caring type, so I've got some work to do (carbon spoiler/misc minor body damages and all 4 wheels lightly curbed) Luckily the interior was kept basically mint.

Please don't ask about the LEDs, I have no idea either.

Oh man they're not even close to the headlight colour, and the plastic is faded so they look really cheap, and even worse they're wired directly to the headlight wiring so I can't turn them off. I'm going to investigate tonight, I haven't had time....... too much fun is being had.

I'm sure you'll figure it out. How you liking the DCT? I've always wanted to drive a 335is with one to compare to the 6MT

It's insane actually. It shifts faster than Sherman's smile changed to a frown on that lovely day 👀

Other than that, I heard somewhere (and agree) that being a 7 speed, 7th gear should be more like an overdrive function. Unfortunately it's cruise RPM in 7th still sits around 2,000 and mileage will probably suffer because of that.

Yep, and 5th is the 1 to 1 gear, so 6th and 7th is overdrive.

On the DCT 7th gear is a 1:1. For dyno pulls most shops dyno the Getrag 7spd DCTs in 5th and then calibrate it to a 1:1 after.

That is not what I have read. I will look for some data now that this has come up.
I have Dyno'ed always in 5th gear.

I don't know much about the gearing on the DCTs but I have a hard time believing 6 & 7 are geared that high, these are typically OD gears in a 7 speed gearbox.

Trust me we looked it up at the dyno shop when they asked what gear is 1:1 lol. Here's a snapshot from a M DCT Drivelogic owners manual pdf. Keep in mind we share the same transmission with the E9X M3s.

That's wild, thanks for sharing. I wonder why it's like that? BRB, gotta look up the final drive ratios for every E9x model.
