You never said how many miles and condition car is in. Expect to pay 1000 anytime anything breaks for labor and parts. Often times it will be 2k or more a pop.
For bolt ons, vrsf fmic and dp are a great value and fit properly. Get your mhd tune, and then your done. You should also do a cp, er or vrsf is also fine.

Always walnut blast first. If you doubt me and you're handy with tools pull your intake manifold off and look at the valves.
Walnut blast made my car a different car [totally stock 08]. I'll be adding a charge pipe next. Yes Walnut Blast first. |

Don't bother with Stg2. 1. Stage 2 Fuel Pump $400 2. Catless Downpipes $300 3. Custom e60 tune $400 These alone will net 400+whp 4. 7.5" intercooler $600 5. Inlets/Outlets $350 These can get you in the ballpark of 500whp depending on retune and quality of engine/turbos. When chargepipe breaks or IATs get too hot, then upgrade those items. As everyone else has pointed out, this assumes maintenance items have been addressed (plugs/coils/hpfp/ofhg/cooling system/fuel sending unit/turbo seals/walnut blast/injectors)

I found out my fuel pump has a leak. Could I install the stage 2 fuel instead of getting a new stock one or do I need to get the stock first

Stock turbos will be able to handle the mods everyone else is stating. Upgraded twins aren't necessary to reach your goal of 420whp. Stage 2 lpfp is necessary to run higher amounts of ethanol higher than e30.

I'm sorry, but until you are living on your own, have an emergency fund of 6 months living expenses, a fully funded 401k and/or Roth ira, then the money should be an issue for you. These guys are serious and really are trying to help you. I am also not poking at you, just being honest. This rabbit hole is going to cost a lot more than you expect. And a lot of people cant keep up with it, same thing many people do with houses. |

Stop going there. They will take all your money and you'll still have a stock car and things will probably still be broken.
To answer your latest 2 questions: Upgraded turbos: If you have money to burn, why not? But you don't need them. I've seen people crack 500rwhp on stock turbos so... Stage 2 Pump: Yes, do it.

Not trying to be a dick, but this forum has a plethora of the information you seek. And on top of that, it's all been beaten to death about 5 million times. Just do some research and then ask the questions you're still unsure of. Build your car the way you want, not how everybody of the forum tells you to.
But in a nutshell, you will easily spend over $2k in maintenance of index 12 injectors, coils, plugs, gaskets, valve cover, water pump, etc. That's considering you are able to do the work yourself which sounds like is not the case. If you are gonna need to pay for labor, that could nearly double. Wish you the best of luck dude. These N54s are not for the feint of heart, but like mentioned before, can be very rewarding. |
