Exclamation 16" wheels fit my 330i?

Hello new member here,

I've seen loads of wheel fitment threads but most/all for the US 328i etc.

I've seen a nice set up of 16" wheels for my 330i E92, but unsure if it will clear the brakes can anyone confirm if 16" will work?

My understanding is that you need 17" to clear the brakes: 225/45r17 I believe.

As above, all the 6 cylinder models have bigger brakes so need minimum of 17" rims.

Not sure about Europe - I'm in the US and have a 2009 E93 328i (regular suspension) - I run 16" wheels in the winter - no issues at all. The 335 has bigger brakes and requires 17" to clear. Check the owners manual.

328i is a 4 cylinder isnt it?? I think over here in Europe all tye 6's have a bigger brake set up so need the 17" wheels. Maybe they fit bigger brakes as we have unregulated speed limits on some motorways (highways as you guys call them)???

I have a 325d (3 litre straight 6) I've never seen one with less than 17" wheels fitted even on SE models with standard suspension.

I may be wrong tho.

328i is a 3.0 liter 6 - regular tires are 225/45 R17's; winter are are 205/55 R16's. There are no 4 cylinder E90/91/92/93 in the US - all are 6 cylinders

Again, the 335's in the US have bigger brakes in the US. Not really sure about a 330 on Europe - again, I'd suggest looking at the owners manual

Thanks for replay all, just to be safe I'll avoid the 16's.

Will any 17 fit? Been searching all day and some say not all 17's fit, but thats more towards the 335i and not the 330i

Thats interesting, here in Europe all the 328i's are 2 litre 4 cylinder turbo engines.

In the US, 328's are NA 6 cylinders until F30 generation at which point they switched to turbo 4
