Price to paint

Hey guys,
So i parked my car (very reluctantly) at the airport a couple weeks ago for a weekend and of course came back to two dents in my hood yay. I'm just now getting a chance to get them fixed, I'm trying to use this as an excuse to get myself a carbon fiber hood to replace my Dented hood. I've been trying to get some estimates on painting the good and they're all sky high!! Like 1600 was the last quote I got! Wtf is this really how much It costs to paint a hood!!!

?????

THANK YOU! thats what i told the guy, i think the reason why it was so expensive is because he wanted to color blend the front fenders and bumper ALL to the hood, would make SLIGHTLY more sense...
