Cobb V2

Hey guys so this is just going to be a quick tell on my impressions of the Cobb V2. Firstly I want you to know I have a 2008 E93 335i with about 103k. The only engine mods I have at this moment are Burger Motorsport DCI's and upgraded vacuum lines and that's it. I want to let you know this is my first car and I have owned it for the past year and a half and have loved about 90% of that time . For the longest time I was considering getting the JB4 G5 but after seeing a good deal on the Cobb v2 I said fuck it and bought it. I barely installed this today and i set it to Stage 1 aggressive and i have to say that it's pretty awesome. The car feels faster and more responsive like a totally different car. I have only peaked at 14 psi so I know this car still has more to offer but I am very impressed with it so far. It's not a savage deliverance like I imagined it'd be but i did read up on the Cobb maps and realized that their stage 1 maps are on the more conservative side which is good but makes me want to use the stage 2 . It delivers the power in a very subtle way so my girlfriend will stay happy overall I am very very happy with my decision on finally pulling the trigger and ending up with Cobb. I know the car will only get better from now especially with an upgraded fmic and some kittyless dp's.

Thanks you guys that will be in the works once I get the fmic installed at least and I will look them up and see what they offer, I would prefer someone local to do the custom tune just to help out small businesses but if I can't find anything in a 20 mile radius I'll look into them. Thanks for the feedback!

Nishan will do remote dyno tunes...but both Purple Drank and Nishan are GREAT Etuners as well. I can't say enough about both of them. They both started on the DISI platform (where I came from) and have made quite the name for themselves.

If you have to have burble and flashing from your phone, it's not the one for you. It is tried and true though. People act like it won't work or something. lol

The OTS maps are more conservative than the MHD maps, so they're more primitive in that aspect, but custom tune there's no difference in terms of functionality for a stock turbo car.

Cobb is an ok solution for someone who wants a simple tune and doesn't want to deal With getting a tablet, wires, downloading maps, etc. and has no need for the fancier features of mhd.

If I was buying today, there would really be no reason not to go with mhd over cobb, since it costs less and has a ton more features.

I do want to eventually do all that I'm just trying to ease in and I don't really understand what everything is for when it comes to data logging and such is there any links or threads you know of that might point me in a good direction because I do eventually plan on diving into all of this

Often said but not entirely true. Cobb and their maps still work. You can still call in for support too. They just aren't supporting the platform meaning offering new updates and features to maps.
