I'm running FBO with inlets E40 at 18psi on stock plugs. Using e85 has a similar effect to colder plugs. Although this up coming change I'm gonna test out one step colder ngk.

A rule of thumb is 1 step colder for every 100 hp. Not a bad idea to go a step colder when it's time to change 'em or other routine maintenance.

+1 and be prepared to change coils at least 60K once missfires start. As secondary resistance goes up (plug gap/age), the discharge from the coil will happen somewhere else and eventually become the path of least resistance. Not to mention what a leaky valve cover gasket can do by causing oil to accumulate at the plug base. That wont help ensure coil discharge is at the plug that's for sure.

On FBO + tune, can you go with NGK 97506 2-Step Colder Spark Plugs? Do you need to swap out for new ignition coils too?

60K miles? Yes, and do a VC gasket (if you got an n55 you might be a little more away from the critical mass zone). Any oil that can get in the chamber and plugwell (to a much lessor degree) will make max timing/boost/load more complicated. Keep it clean and dry and you can lean on it with less unpredictable issues. Everything I know about n54s tells me they are somewhat unique and when you start to lean on them in their later yrs there are not a lot of definitives. You just got to find what will make each one happy on the fuel you have access to and based on the specific combination

Nah, I actually don't want to run the risk of the spark plug being "too cold" and can't self clean. Most likely will go with 1 step colder.
