335i for drift
Ok guys there so many threads it's hard to know what to do.
I'm turning my 335i n54 into drift car. First of all I'm upgrading to intercooler and charge pipe. Also de cat downpipe and twin air cones. Will I have to map the car after these changes? If so will the jb4 be sufficient? Can a jb4 be tuned by a mapper? Should I get a aluminum rad to help cool the engine? Thanks in advance |

Map the car when you make upgrades. Use the correct map for the upgrades you've added. Most members here will recommend MHD (as would I).
JB4 is old tech, less refined a tune, and features far less options and settings. No need for radiator. No need for intakes either. The stock box with a clean filter is fine. M |

MHD offers off the shelf maps that are customized for all combinations of the mods we like to put on our cars. It'll customize fueling, timing, boost and a bunch of other data tables the DME uses to optimize how the engine runs. And instead of intercepting sensor inputs and then "lying" to your DME to achieve results, it's actually changing the data tables, which is a much better way to adjust your engine's variables. When you select the appropriate map for your mods, a couple other pages of options are made available (if you like) to tweak. There are different throttle maps, startup conditions, exhaust settings and all kinds of cool stuff you can customize on top of the maps that add a lot of dimension to customizing your performance. I'm not sure if I'm answering your question, but you should definitely check out MHD on your own to learn about it. It's a great platform. That's the fastest way to get up to speed. I would get a radiator if it's the stock in the car, get a mishimoto I've heard people having fitment issues with CSF. I'm running a mishimoto and it works great. If you're going to be drifting and pushing the car you're eventually going to blow the plastic sides off the radiator.

I'd pay to see that happen
Using a 335i for a drift car sounds challenging. It's heavy, has no LSD, and it's expensive to repair (crashing a drift car).
