I'm running the stage 1 map on a 335d. The shift points are earlier, like expected. That's nice when driving in the first gears on low throttle.
Accelerating with more throttle is a bit odd, because of the (for me, too) early shifts, the big turbo isnt used. Anyone else with a 335d and a stage 1 map who wants to share what they think about it?

Ive flashed my 335D with the stage 3 map. Cars running stage 3 turbos > 400bhp and im very suprised at how much better the car now drives and handles the power.

Before it used to feel quite sluggish in D and really bang grears in S. The faster changes have basically eliminated all of this.

Clemens support via email is great too. He was even answering questions and looking into my map on Saturday night!

Instalation was effotless and very well designed.

Would definitely reconmend

I am happy with my stage 3 like many others.

very few things I would like to change, all of them in D mode only..

im probably hunting for stage 1 in D and stage 3 in S. im going to monitor a few things and probably get tunerpro on my PC and see what things look like and if I feel comfortable making changes...


I would love 6th gear to come in around 43 mph not 50 (same as stock I think) I do a lot of driving around 45...

at the end of the day I am still happy

Are flash / OTS map licenses transferable for resell to other users, once completely uninstalled?

I will most likely buy a new car within a few months and am thus not eager to spend over 200 EUR for temporary use. My new car will have a ZF8 transmission so I cannot re-use the licenses myself.
Also, what happens to people that might crash their car or have it stolen? Do they also need to repurchase the license for a product that they in fact already owned?

PTF allows their bootmod3 devices and licenses to be resold for example (http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...&postcount=161).

Due to popular demand we've deleted the 1st gear start in manual mode in the Stage 3 files. So the trans won't return to 1st on full stop anymore, but stay in 2nd.

There are a few files that need to be updated, so it will take a few days. If anyone has already flashed Stage 3 and wants that to be changed, just redownlod the Maps in the end of the week (Misc. menu -> Re-Download OTS Maps) and flash Stage 3 again.

Do you mind if I mirror the XDF on my Github? Or is there some public repository for it?

I feel that it would be useful to have it under a central version control so the DIY-ers can collaborate a little easier.

My phone's micro usb port is a little sketchy, it may or may not work with this now and almost certainly won't work in the future. Are the licenses connected to our Google play account so if I move to another device I still have access to the map? Or would I have to request it be transferred to the other device?

It's stored in the Google Account! You just have to move the backup and the state file manually! Those 2 should be saved somewhere else after first install.

I flashed V1.1 from what I can tell the cold shifts in D are different than before.. hope it is not me thinking something is different lol...

I sent an email this morning around 6:30a, but given the time difference I don't think I will hear back until tonight.

I asked about maybe having stage 1 as normal D and S/M stage 3 going to see where to go from there..

my main thing I would like is 6th to shift earlier if I am not mistaken stock the car would shift into 6th at 50mph and hold it until about 40mph which the RPMs are just over 1000 by then... now the car still shifts at 50 mph, but shifts back into 5th around 45mph.

I'm looking for used compatible tcu, but the code that you gave me, is the entire steptronic code, can you tell me if you know, some TCU codes ?

Or compatible tcu is the same for all steptronic with code 7591972?

None of that, I think he means it's the newer compatible serial number of the TCU/GCU for the 6HP26/28 steptronic transmission like the one you have. (See attachment)

Excellent - but it just proves how many extremely different wishes we have - despite we all have the same overall goal.

Perhaps XHP at a later date will be able to have specific files for specific customers directly in the app?
