As per the last picture above I have the exact same setup, It's driving me a little insane does anyone know if the setup as pictured in the previous post can be switched from LHD to RHD?

Tried looking for anything that might remotely look like a switch but im not entirely sure.

Thanks

I'm not sure if anyone has this knowledge.

E92's appear to be different. Anyone know if pre-LCI E92's (Xenon) can be modified?

Thanks

Was there ever an answer to this question available. I'm going crazy with this problem on my RHD.

Almost certain you can code the FRM module to fix this issue.

This method works perfectly!!
(335i pre-LCI Double Xenon)

The removal of the headlamps is a pain if you don't have jackstands and don't remove the wheels.

I think that the UK cars (RHD) came with the option to "switch" the side, the LHD cars, rumor has it, don't.

You'll have to dismount it and check

Hi
I realise it’s a long time ago you wrote this but I am about to try this procedure on a E91 325d M Sport RHD 2008 as I am now living in Spain.I have Xenon adaptive headlights.Did you have good access to the headlights by removing the wheels and wheel arch liners ? And it’s just a simple flick the switch job ? Thanks

This method only work for pre-LCI headlight. Recently I swap out the headlight and my supplier install LHD LCI headlight and the beam pattern is fix by the metal plate in front of the xenon light. No way to change the beam pattern unless you can modify the metal plate.

Hi there. I have a RHD E92, currently on UK plates. I've now moved back to Spain a few weeks ago and need to get the car on Spanish reg before Brexit or else It will go from 10% to 40% tax and Im not paying that!

I've been told Its not possible to convert My headlights to LHD? I have adaptive headlights, I'm not sure if that makes a difference to if it can be done or not.

I have two weeks to get the lights "converted" or to purchase LHD ones (which I cannot find ANYWHERE - New or second hand that can be delivered in less than two weeks)

Any suggestions or help would be VERY much appreciated as I'm very lost. I've spent a great deal on the car in a short time to to send it back to the UK to sell would be my last option.

Hello,
Is that also the case on a e92/e93 headlights ? cause the headlight is not exactly the same.
and I didn't find this plastic lever on my e93 from Nov. 2007... the OEM ref of my headlights are 63117182507/08...
This lever have an action only on the lowbeam bulb? (the extern one?)
thanks in advance

As a tip for everyone:

Unmount the headlamp from the car and search for the lever.
If you can post a picture of the back your headlamps we can help you.

Good luck!

Did you solve your issue?

Before br€xit, I was looking on buying a Porsche Cayman from a friend in UK.

As I researched the RHD to LHD headlamp topic, I found out that, at least the UK models, all have a lever that you can access from the trunk (which is in the front in the Porsches) and you just turn it to change the light pattern.

Hi, I am in the same situation importing a 2010 lci 330d E90 to spain, car has adaptive xenons....previously, the 2 M3s I imported both had the 'lever' to switch between RHD and LHD but with adaptive lights it seems this is NOT possible. Any help appreciated.
