upgraded my CCC to CIC so I have this lying about not quite sure what more you need to get to do a retrofit but this is perfect if one of your components is not working on your CCC... much more affordable than CIC also...

If you have business CCC, then you can upgrade to it.
Funny enough, BMW has made a retrofit kit for that.

Hi, yes I have iDrive with the smaller screen & single DVD drive.

Is it as simple as a different screen cable or would it need anything chopping?

Also, would the coding be at BMW or can I just buy the retrofit kit & get it coded elsewhere. Any idea of a part number for the kit??

Retrofit kit is being sold above.
The wiring is same. You need to take your old business CCC out, and put the new one in including the wide screen.

Then you'll need to get this unit coded to your car and you are done.

Oh I see, the kit is just the stuff for sale here? When you said kit I thought you meant a wiring kit from BMW or something.

Could you also code it to Hifi option so I can connect the high level input straight to my JL XD700/5, bypassing my current Audiocontrol LC6i?
Can I keep my CD Changer?
Lastly, is there any way of getting USB connectivity? I do not want ipod interface, just a USB stick with MP3's
