*SOLD* For Sale - M-Sport LCI Paddle shift steering wheel
I am selling an M Sport LCI Paddle shift steering wheel due to a change of plans. This doesn't come with an airbag, but comes complete with the centre trim and steering wheel button controls, which are all in excellent condition with none of the usual peeling etc.
The wheel is in excellent condition all round and came from a low mileage 2010 car. The only reason I can't describe the wheel as 'Mint' is because there are a couple of very minor signs of use - which are hard to see in photos and you have to look for them. It looks like very light scuffs form someone wearing a ring or where a fingernail has caught the wheel. These aren't seen when the wheel is fitted as they are on the right hand side/edge of the wheel. I'm sure something like scuffmaster would get rid of this very easily. I'm very fussy about the condition of parts and wouldn't hesitate to fit this myself, someone else may describe this is mint, I'm just being totally honest and have included pictures to try to show the minor scratches, but the pictures make it look a lot worse than it is! £195 +postage or collection from Puriton, Somerset (just off junction 23 of M5) Last edited by Scoff123; 06-24-2015 at 06:14 AM.. |

Do you know if this is plug and play with the older push/pull paddles? Or is a harness required?

This still for sale?
I have a pre LCI e92 msport with paddle shifters (both silver with same function push to go down gears pull to go up) and have read conflicting threads about a straight plug and play... Is the airbag different and will it be a coding issue or is it just a no go? Cheers |

Yes this is still for sale.
In terms of the steering wheel and airbag themselves, as far as I understand they will be a straight swap over, but I cannot say 100% - might be worth checking on RealOEM or similar and seeing if the part numbers are the same between the E90 and E92. You wouldn't need any coding done that I'm aware of if your car already has paddles. In order to fit LCI paddles to a Pre-LCI wheel, you have to change the wiring/resistors in the paddles, however you wouldn't be doing that as you would be swapping the entire thing over. Sorry I can't help any more than that, might be worth asking the question in the main forum? |
