New vanos solenoids in N52 engine throwing codes

The codes I'm getting are P0010 & P0012. When I started the engine this morning a white cloud of smoke came out of the exhaust.
Should I clear the codes and see what happens? I would appreciate any advice.

Don’t quote me, not a mechanic but going off my past experiences.
Sounds like either a faulty camshaft positive sensor or maybe the vanos is bad?
I’ve had a p0010 and a 2a82 code which was luckily resolved when I replaced my vanos solenoids, you might even have to take it in to a mechanic to find the true culprit of the problem?
