Well it stopped stailing but the service engine soon light came on. I'm going to go to my buddy's shop next week and have it scanned. In the mean time I'm going to clean my MAS. I have noticed that the rpms take a little longer to drop now.

As for the heat Shield I can't figure that thing out. The intake was ment for a E90 328i I have a E92 328xi. I really don't think that matters but still can't figure it out. Does anyone have any pics????
Thanks

Is that good bad? Any way to correct it?
Also on the new intake the gasket is pretty thick for the MAS I was wondering if that was effecting it at all since the MAS isn't sitting in the intake as low as the stock intake.

If that is the error then only fix is to remove the intake and go back to stock.

I am not trying to pass judgement because I think we have all done this; I learned a long time ago the "cheaper" approach usually ends up being the more expensive approach in the long run. Had you purchased a hot air intake from a more reputable company and spent a few more dollars, you would be off having fun with your increased intake noise instead of having engine issues to deal with. If your MAF sensor is not sitting in the correct position, I would remove your aftermarket intake system and reinstall your OEM intake. If nothing else, it will be a quick way to help diagnose and isolate the potential problem.

Go back to OE, I had a k&n and the first week it was in, my car started stalling at a low speed. RPMs drop during a slow down turn and it would stall. Went back with OE and not a single problem.

+1 on oem and a kn. Its hard to believe that these type of intakes make power, just like the dci on the n54,those huge intakes draw all that hot air into the turbo's,they do look awesome tho

Make sure everything is on tight. Check the throttle body and see if the coupler isn't slipping off same with air filter. Let us know what the issue was once you resolve it.

Agree. As someone who's using an aftermarket intake (as well as with 3 of my previous cars), your symptoms sound related to a leak or MAF somehow.

Make sure everything is tight, MAF is clean and also tight.

If it's a no-name intake, it's possible that MAF placement is an issue.

My Injen works great without issues, and have friends with AFE and simota intakes also without issues. All N52.

Good luck.

Listen man I have the same intake on my car my car drives like a bat out of hell except all of a sudden couple days once every couple days it'll start throwing lean codes Bank 1 Too Lean Bank 2 too lean that's the part I don't get did you ever figure out anyting. Plus just recently it started throwing misfire codes on bank 1 and then it was right after I changed it to the cheap iridium spark plugs I took them right out I put the spark plugs the double-platinum back in that had 50,000 miles on them and started running and it's starting to throw this one misfire on 1 and 3 and then it starts throwing multiple misfire out of nowhere this thing's been on my car for almost a year now and then all the sudden having issues
