Hi All,

I've got the 19" MV4s which need a refurb and I've been thinking of replacing them with a new style of alloy wheel - probably CSL style or other.

I've read a bit here and there on people experiencing better rides on 18" alloys over 19" and wanted to hear from you guys if this was the case especially on our horrendous roads especially here in the midlands..

I've got stock M-sport suspension currently. I was thinking of maybe Eibach pro-kit springs to fill the wheel arch gap with regardless of route just for aesthetics. How does this fit into it all? 18" and pro-kit > 19" pro kit? Or is the difference very minimal

And wheel wise, is it generally true smaller wheels less weight = better handling during spirited driving?

Looking forward to hearing from you guys

I went for these CSL 18" reps and have been very satisfied:

https://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showro..._23_122_32_210

I used 15mm spacers front and rear (with minor rear wheelarch roll). In my experience Eibachs will massively improve the look, but at the expense of ride quality, which you might be prepared to live with...

Sweet! Love those buckets

TPMS went off today stating pressure loss and I suspect it's a potholes doing on the MV4s, will definitely need to swap soon.

Anybody else got any pictures of CSL style 19" or M359 reps 19" on their e92?

I'm very tempted by both styles - I feel like the 18" wheels are slightly on the smaller side for the coupe

I've got a black e92 so would be looking to go black in black with either style.

I run both 19's and 18's on mine. Personally not a huge fan of black on black as you lose the wheel detail and so it generally doesn't matter what wheel style it is lol.

18's will certainly help the ride no end if you feel 19's aren't to your liking.

Set 1:

Set 2:

And my 19's:

Nice gunmetal or anthracite are personal favs.

Also a pic of a set off 19" CSL style I had previously:

Ended up trialling the black on black look with the MV4s whilst I decide what I'm gonna do with the wheels 🤷🏻

Don't know yet! Going to wait till the rear lip goes on and the bodywork is tip top before I make a call!

19" CSL. Do wish id gone for 18's and thicker rubber. Only bad point is you cant get Michelin PS4S in 18.

Keep the mv4s have them refurbished and put none runflats on much nicer wheel than CSL, and don't go black there awful ...
Just my opinion of course 😁

Anyone got rid of the ugly 16"s on their efficient dynamics? If so, what have you gone for?

Went for 18s and now 19s. 48hrs on 19s and I put them up for sale. Today, I went on the motorway with 19s on and now I'm having second thoughts. It's like the car hugged the road. Pure bliss.

Did you notice a drop in fuel economy with them and did you have to adjust the suspension in any way?
