Yeah well I told you I drive round with my headlights on as it is a black car and I accept a little more difficult to see (but only a little) but the woman was still oblivious to me being there - even when the high beams came on. never mind, good job I am concentrating I guess.

No probs about the music thread. thought it might be better for people to make their recomendations. see if you like abything anyone suggests, as it is you in the end who will be doing the production, so your choice really viv.

A little baby has been born, but her bigger sister is overdue- she should be out in a week or so hopefully!

First UK Meet 'taster' video: Low-res 320x200 (WMV 13Mb- right-click & Save as...)

First UK Meet 'taster' video: Higher-res 640x400 (WMV 28.1Mb- right-click & Save as...)

She may just bring a tear to your eye!

All the best.

All good Viv but no panorama shots Not a fan of Mr Blunt either. Bring on the "proper" release. Looking forward to it.

Thanks Paul.
It's just a taster.
I'm saving your panorama shots for the 'proper' version, where they rightly belong! ...although I could just re-do this 'taster' with one of your shots in.....hmmm...

The final music won't be a James Blunt track- I'll be checking with all of you before I use anything.

Cheers.

Bluetooth phone

Dear all
Anyone out there knows how to transfer SIM phone book to the iDrive telephone system.
I'm using Orange SP500, I can use all the hand-free operation however the A-Z phone book is empty when connected.
Any idea how to activate the transfer?
Do I need a new phone?
Thanks

This post would have been better in the Audio/Video forum, Beefy.
As a punishment, you can make sure you turn up to the next UK meet, ok!

Have a look here.

The SPV C500 will not transfer the phonebook over to the car.
The SPC C600 Windows Mobile5 phone does do it, however.

If you can upgrade the phone on Orange's 7 working day upgrade trial, try the C600 or one of the Sony Ericssons.
I use the C600 & my old T610- both work great.
If they don't work, just send the phone back to them without penalty.

All the best.

Viv

No problem Beefy.
I think we all had a great day out together.
The cock-up in getting to the Indian restaurant just made the drive through the country even better!
Four of us convoyed through North Yorks towards Donington- it was just great- I loved it.

The 'Official' First UK meet video hasn't even been produced yet- I'll get on with that soon!
Here's a few of my other videos to keep you entertained till it's ready.

haven't been on line (is that the word for it) recently been workin around the UK sellin me actuators for me valves (yawn yawn) however top day out it was, car is nearly going past its first service, as in nearly booked it in today but put it off till next week (company car after all), I really think the brakes are shot though ( thanks to monkey chappie) and me clutch is slippin, now I realise that you lot realise that I am no e90 expert but it don't feel the car is right anymore and since I have discovered this fear me MPG has gone up dramatically.......time to start a thread I believe

how is everyone who woz there anyway, If memory serves me correctly beaufighter had the most specc'd car or was it the Vivmeister couldn't tell the difference angel eyes or angel delight in beaus inbuilt microwave

Lookin forward to the vid but reckon the Wales option for a night stopover is a good idea (well seeing as it was mine) of course.

Hi Paddy, all is well. Looking forward to the next meet. I'm afraid the Vivmeister wins on spec. Although I have a microwave, toaster and soda stream built in it doesn't beat Viv's active steering - oh well!!
