Maintenance needed (please help)

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone would like to help diagnose my car problem, im getting constant misfires in cylinder 6 only on 3rd gear pulls. Im assuming its either spark plugs or coils. I'm not really good with mechanical part of cars and I dont want to spend an arm and a leg at a shop so I was wondering if anyone from the bimmer fam could help me out, I would gladly pay for your time. Let me know if you could help me out and name your price. Thanks guys!

All you need to do is remove the engine cover, then the coils are right there. Move #6 to another cylinder to see if the misfire follows the coil. If not, you can move the plug in the same manner. I can help out, but will have to be late in the evening.

I finish work around 7pm so it would be perfect, I still have your # so ill let you know when im heading down. Do you usually pick up your plugs locally or online and which kind? I called couple of auto part stores and they only had cheap spark plugs in stock and if I order them online they probably wont come in until next week.

If we are replacing parts, I'd rather do it here at my garage. But that time is fine with me.

Don't think that would cause you to lose boost, maybe a vacuum leak. I can pull the codes to see if the DME is throwing any.

Were you guys able to resolve your problem? I'll post something in the main forum but wanted to see if anyone wanted to have a mod/maintenance meetup. Don't really have a space to work on anything more than one car(condo life) but have some tools and mechanic experience to offer. Let me know!
