Should I black out my shadowline trim?

Probably a common topic to come up...

My brothers car came with black trim and looks great. I think my car looks good as is. But while I'm working my way into the upgrade game I'm starting to think I should ditch the classy look and go with black. I've done FBO with MHD, just finished installing coilovers and fitting wider tires. Next is a black/carbon front lip, and M-sport rear bumper with carbon diffuser. Grills are already black and will be painting the lowers. Also plan on going with a carbon spoiler.

So black or chrome???

If you like chrome, leave it. My buddy and i both have crystal black e92's. He blacked out his trim, and mine is still chrome. Love the shadowline trim and can't wait to get mine done as well.

I'm torn. That's why I'm seeking other opinions. If you look up black e92's any of them that look really good have black trim. Thanks for the response.

I had the same dilemma lol. All black looks so clean but the chrome trim matches the wheels better and really pops. But I ended up wrapping my car so I went black

Exactly! The wheels do make it pop. I'm tempted to go with some bronze apex 8 wheels though. Or even Hyper black instead of hyper silver.

I guess I should just do it. It's only about $50 if I do it myself with vinyl and could easily take it off.

Oh if you're changing your wheel colors, then, IMHO, blacking the trim would probably look better as the chrome trim would look possibly out of place

Also try here for the material. It cost me $25 total, and I had extra

I'm not exactly sure what my plan is with wheels. My m3 reps do look pretty good but they have a little rash on them and I just fit new tires. My thinking is if I decided to replace them i could probably get enough to cover 70% of the cost of new wheels. I like the Apex 8's in 18s, and also the ESR CS-11. Either in hyper silver, hyper black or bronze is tempting.

Shawdowline is the place I was thinking. Remembered the cost wrong.
