Just because it's non adjustable doesn't mean that you can't adjust it. You could always either put a washer on one end of the spring or trim the spring to raise or lower the tension. I don't know because I'm not running inlets and haven't had the need.

does it make like a cooing sound? I noticed the same exact noise after getting my inlets on 2 weeks ago.

Same sound here after I installed hotside inlets with stock diverter valves. I'm looking into a BOV setup and a bigger vacuum line.

So what is the fix for this?...

(besides tapping a bigger outlet in the manifold and adding a bigger line to the bov)

I have a TIAL , would I need to get a stiffer or lighter spring?..got the standard one they ship with ..it had the right sound with the DCI

Most likely lighter spring, or just cut a coil of the spring, try again, and if need be cut another cool of the spring. Under normal idle you want the valve to be barely open or just barely closed so under closed throttle it immediately opens and opens all the way.

Did anyone find out the fix for this? I have the same horrible high pitched sound coming from my Tial BOV after my new inlets.....sounds horrible. It sounds much better before with the stock inlets.

Well....I installed the bigger 1/4" I'd line to the Tial BOV......but it still makes that same high pitched screeching noise.....no change at all from the larger line. I guess the next step is to install the 7psi spring in the BOV....that should let it open faster than the 10psi spring that's in there now.

If that doesn't work....I guess I'm stuck with a crappy sounding BOV....or maybe try a Turbosmart BOV and see if that sounds any better....

Crazy how inlets would change the sound so much.....

It sounds just like this video....identical.

The Tial BOV used to have a nice and deep "WHOOOOSH!!!" sound with the stock inlets, now with my 1.75" silicon inlets, it has that annoying high pitched squeaking noise to it. It's horrible!!!

I even upgraded to a larger 1/4" ID hose to the BOV.....same horrible sound.

It seems like this is a very common issue with aftermarket inlets and Tail BOV's....has nobody figured out why they make that horrible noise after inlets are installed??

Yes when I had oem side VRSF inlets it had a weird sound identical to that and when I had switched to relocated inlets it never made a weird sound like that. I plan on installing my single turbo kit when my oem turbos goes to shit I purposely bumped them up to like 95% WGDC lol so if you plan on getting some china turbos then maybe you can buy my relocated PR inlets.... they fit great

Yeah.....if the lighter 7psi spring doesn't change the awful BOV sound, Im just going to run it until I get a set of new turbos later this summer. I've been thinking about doing the relocated inlets....might be a good time to do them while I'm in there doing the turbos.

I was going to suggest doing relocated, but you had already purchased the inlets. I have ran both and I actually felt a difference when switching to relocated so def look into it when you upgrade turbos.

Well, I put the new 7psi spring in the Tial BOV last night. It's definitely lighter, it's fully open at idle, which I'm not sure I'm a big fan of....but I can always switch it back to the 10psi spring.

Long story short......same screeching owl/chicken noise when I'm in boost and let off the throttle and the BOV opens. Larger 1/4" ID line, and 7psi spring.....no change at all. Kind of frustrating...it used to sound so good with the stock inlets on the car.

At this point, I guess I will just have to chalk it up as some strange resonance caused by the silicone inlets....I can't think of any other explanation. I guess I will just leave it until I get some different turbos later this summer....probably just put some PR relocated inlets on the car while I do the turbos. From everything I've read, they will get that nice "whooosh" sounds back from the BOV.
