Tune

I'm looking at buying a 2011 335i that has a tune but the owner does not know which tune. I'm assuming MHD because there is no JB4 wiring.

My concern is reverting back to a stock tune for emission testing.

Is it possible to return to stock tune? I would think a DME change would be necessary.

MHD can overwrite whatever's there, but be very cautious of a "tuned" car that the owner knows nothing about.
