Which tuning chips do you guys reccomend and why? I've heard the big ones are MHD, JB4, and Cobb

None are "chips". Cobb is no longer a good option, and JB4 is a boost mapping toy. With or without JB4, you need MHD, which is the single best performance upgrade bang for the buck you can get for your N54.

+1 JB4 is cool and all but, really only for the safeties imo. I'd only purchase one if I were going single turbo, port injection or meth. MHD all the way

Like others have said.....you don't use "chips" like the old 5.0 Mustangs did......you use a flash tuner. The most popular, and easiest is by far MHD.

Since you will be upping the boost in order to get more power, make sure all of your maintenance is up to date. Fresh coils, plugs, air filter(s), transmission service (if it's an Auto), no boost leaks, etc, etc.....

For the price, it's the cheapest, fastest, and easiest way to really bump up the power on these N54's.....

Do Cheetos count as chips? That's what I recommend.
