Bmw 335i e90 hybrid turbo seal leak

Hello so I have aftermarket turbos and they are leaking oil from what looks like the seal between the exhaust and compressor housing is a rebuild kit a good choice or just getting new ones?

Did you call up Rob? The failure rate on those RB turbos is extremely small. I would call Rob and see what he says. If anything, he should be able to take a look and tell you why they failed.

What model of RB turbo is it? And what kind of boost are you pushing? He lists "efficient" boost ranges to stay in with all of his turbos.

More info please......

Sounds like you were pushing them pretty hard......I don't think RB recommends hitting 30psi with any of their turbos, but I could be wrong. You must making some big power!! What fueling upgrades are you running? Who did your tune?

Have you contacted RB?

So it's not burning oil, it's coming from the oil feed line??

I'm thinking about ordering a set of RB turbos soon. I was talking to Rob this morning about which way to go as far as turbo selection, and mid conversation I asked him about the issue you were having with your turbos.

Rob said he never got a call from anyone, and didn't know what I was talking about. Are you sure you called RB?
