Offtopic, but Spectre is also use here in Quebec, I was thinking of getting the Beltronic STI I heard that they can detect the police's radar detector detector..

Wondering if its worth the $550 ? lol

It's not a radar detector detector detector lol. Rather, it cannot be sniffed out by Spectre or any radar detector detector.

That detector is not immune to Spectre. So basically, what you are saying is that in "your" testing with your "friend", who may or may not be police officer (OPP, Toronto?) it worked.

Not much of a bet I would be willing to take given the consequences of being cought with a RD in Ontario. In fact, I wouldn't take this thing if it was given to me for free if I was driving around primarily in Ontario, any 400 series highway where the OPP routinely partrol with Spectre. Its all downside given the fine, points and the fact that it will go on your insurance records that you had an RD in your possession if you were cought. Id be running a truly Spectre proof detector like this:
