Thanks for the replies. My phone only says phone audio in the profile pairing to the car. It does not say media audio also like for other stuff.
I know the combox is there so I guess I have to code it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get more information about coding this particular feature please?

Send me your VIN and I will check it.

Do you have a cable for your car?

Absolutely, there's a way to stream music wirelessly using an A2DP bluetooth adapter, i'm currently using Bovee WMA3000B for my 2009 e90 335i from viseeousa. Now I can play my favorite music from my phone library and pandora, I can also control the steering wheel on the dashboard and do call switching in between music, it also supports both iPhone and Android.

Bluetooth streaming Music is only possible if you have an idrive
and a combox. (with pro radio not possible)
Sometimes if you may have the combox and idrive but not have
the option enabled.

Look at your options on a free online BMW vin checker.
Audio option usually start with a 6
Also check under the trunk floor for a Combox .
Its right behind the US side rear passenger seat.

Bluetooth and SOS functions mostly come in seperate modules
in the e90 .
TCU telephone control unit = bluetooth and sos only
Mulf 2 hi = USB and bluetooth phone
Combos = Bluetooth phone and streaming plus usb .
streaming only possible with idrive.

If you car can be programmed for cdc

My brother just picked up a nearly mint 6-speed Space Grey over Red Brown 328i xDrive. It has the S6VC combox, but not iDrive. Is it possible to stream music via Bluetooth?

I recently installed Mr12volt P600. It's working good except I cannot see the song games in my car screen. Does this relate to dipswitches? I left them up-up-up-down-down position
