Best Tires for 325i?
I have a 2006 e90 325i and am getting a set of VMR V710's in the 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 staggered size. I still currently have the OEM Dunlop runflats on the sport package 17's.
I was looking into a couple of different tires to wrap around the V710s. Which of these would be best for mostly summer driving? The car is a DD but I'm in school August-May and rarely need my car during that time, so most my mileage is May-August. I was thinking about Continental DW's, Michelin Pilot Super Sports, and Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports. I would be getting them in 225/40-18 for the front and 255/35-18 for the rear. A little stretch but not much. Does anyone have experience with these tires and know which one would be the best all-arounder for my e90 or have a different recommendation. I'm pretty open to other ideas, although I think I want to avoid runflats this time around. I couldn't find a runflat option for a decent price, and I really was trying to stay as close to if not under $1000 installed for the tires. So... Thoughts? |

Michelin PSS is probably the best performance tire you can buy.

Of those three, I'd say Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Stellar performance for the money! It's one of the best street tires.

I think that pretty much sums it up for me then. There's a consensus. The Michelin's it is! They're roughly $250 more for the set than the other two but everywhere I ask they seem to be the overwhelming choice. Thanks to all that helped!
