Forge or Turbosmart?

Soo I ended up with a set of both Forge DVs and Turbosmart Plumb back diverter valves. I'm kind of torn as to which one to keep and which one to sell

Both would be going on an ER chargepipe and most I'll probably ever run is a fbo tune. carr is a daily-ish driver.

Any suggestions/opinions/facts as to why I should keep one over the other?

i have the turbosmart plumb back with vrsf charge pipe and it is reallly quiet, very close to stock, none of that WHOOOOSH sound that turns heads on every shift... holds 21psi with no problems ... love it !

Does turbo smart need new seals and fresh oil every so often like the forge does?

would also like to know, since Turbosmart only suggests this for the other DVīs, but not for the plumb backs.

(I had the same decision way back and decided to use the Turbosmart, no problems so far they are working great)

yeah I'm leaning towards the turbosmarts as well.

I haven't heard of anyone having to rebuild or service them. Also (I may be wrong) but i dont thing spring changes are needed for different boost levels.

I was just in the same boat a few weeks ago but found a different approach. I picked up two 710N diverter valves that are OE on VW and Audi turbo cars. They are 30+ PSI capable and are extremely responsive. I got both for $80 total so it's a great deal too

Most people cant read here lol but may be sell both. I have the forge style dvs made by a company hyperboost ( no longer). They are fine and cant remember last time i "maintained" them. I used molykote grease (extreme temp grease) when i installed them.

Ended up with the turbosmarts. Have them set up 50/50 venting to air. Nice sound, not overbearing.

would attaching a small filter to the end of the hose VTA cause any problems? Thinking about attaching a shorter hose with a small filter clamped onto the end of it.

How do they work, in terms of problem free?

I see they are stock on the Porsche GT2

Totally forget to post the sound clip. Guess you don't need it now. Enjoy!
