Would love to see a pic.

Same. If I wrap my alpine white wagon I'm thinking I might go that color green. Possibly mat like an M5 CS. I have a set of style 67 that need refinished I might make bronze.

I'll post pictures this evening. I forgot to mention it also has an Active Autowerke 3-stage tune with the Simon-3 tool. I have three different tune files for the car.

Most of the posters appear unfamiliar with that seller.

That's what I thought until I had to replace the transfer case and control unit on my wife's 91k-mile 2007 328xi. But at least it stopped throwing codes so she could see her clock again! Oh yeah, and it's much smoother when the transfer case isn't stuttering! You don't realize how smooth the car is supposed to be, until it's fixed.

Manual AWD 66k mile 2011 Msport in black just went for $38,000 after fees (BAT).
Are we in agreeance that RWD in this spec would be more or less valuable? Pretty incredible how much well kept manual M sports can bring. I think the highest ever was the blue one in RWD which went for $40 after fees!?

I think it’s always been known that the the RWD was worth more.
After that BAT sale, will it flip?
Or maybe the awd/rwd is just an option and the main thing is MT with M sport.

I'm floored by the result.

I didn't get any serious bites at $35k for my M Sport "soft listing" in this thread several months back.

Mine is:
  • RWD (better)
  • Black interior (objectively better than Beige)
  • 73k miles (a touch worse)
  • No accidents (BaT car had been hit)
  • H/K and xenon, same as BaT car
  • No nav (I prefer single hump, others like nav)
  • OEM+ mods like PE, 3IM, M3 wheels and original 194s

The seller also has a known history of dry ice blasting northern cars, this one had registration history in Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut.

In any case, happy to share the BaT sale as a comp for insurance valuation.

Missing my 194s after sitting on 260s since March!

Looks like he turned a $7-8k profit for a dry ice blast, detail and a photoshoot.

Just goes to show you a good advertisement goes a long way. People throw cell phone pictures up if a dirty car and wonder why they can't fetch top dollar.

The ad also had super dramatic dark photos. You wouldn't know if the steering wheel had peeling trim it was so dark.

But I guess that's why he does this for a living and I just bitch on the internet.

Sell it to 1600Veloce - he will turn a profit! Or just put it on BAT yourself…may take some time unless you’re a power seller, but you probably could have had it listed by now if you really want to sell. No doubt it’ll go for 35k+…this market is madness when a AWD w foreskin interior sells for 38.

I don't think it will flip as the one that sold for even more was actually RWD. If someone wants a car for true enthusiast spec the RWD offers more Power to weight and more feel through the steering wheel. But seeing that AWD go for that much made me realize the price difference is perhaps less than I realized!

Have you or anyone else done an insurance evaluation/valuation for their E91, pre-accident/claim? If so, how much if any, of an increase was on your premium?

I'm wondering if this would be worthwhile to be sure they don't total it for $3000 or some ridiculous amount if I ever got into an accident.

I'm going to look into an Amica or Chubb stated value policy in the near term. I guess I can make a post once I hear back on quotes.

I offered my car here for a reasonable price to what I thought were enthusiasts on this board. Instead, I received negative comments and people from this board trying to ruin my auction on BAT.

Fortunately, Anthony from 1600veloce took my car on commission and I sold it for more in my pocket. Incredible service and a great experience with 1600veloce.

And no dry ice blasting. No rust on my E91 ever as I never drove in salt; I had even posted pics of the underside here. Stop the complaining please. You all could have bought the car here. And you all could sell a good E91 by 1600veloce on commission.

BTW, click on my history and you see posts on this board when I bought the car in 2012. Shame on those here that have nothing good to say.

A lot of butthurt here. Classic case of BaT premiums and a gotta have it mentality by a few bidders. There are numerous examples of better optioned and nicer conditions cars in this immediate thread. All a matter of right place, right time, etc. Frankly this is not going to move the average market sale price by a whole lot, especially with finance rates awry and a niche following.

If you are holding a "better" car, work with EAG, BaT or others to find that unicorn buyer. Starting to sound an awful lot like the Porsche community and I doubt the majority of owners got into their car to turn a profit. I would hand over my car instantly for an offer of $20K+, below that it is simply irreplaceable.

I think that auction was a fluke, they featured it in car and driver which I'm sure drove more traffic to the auction.

I don't think we're going to see $36,500 as a common number.
