Unhappy ‘00A8C4’ code that I can’t seem to clear

Hi all,

My car is throwing up the following code:

00A8C4 - Break-force display right, E92/E93 or US: 2. Brake light right defective, E84: defective tail light right.

When I try and clear the code using Carly it just comes straight back.

I’ve done a visual check of all the rear lights and they all seem to work fine which is confusing.

Has anyone ever had this issue before? If so, how did you fix it?

My car is a 2009 325d e90 btw if that makes any difference.

Cheers

did you check the light that is part of the right trunk? Not sure if its the same in Europe but in the US the brakeforce display lights are usually the ones that are mounted to the trunk itself instead of the body I believe they are also referred to as "rear fog lights".

I believe I checked all rear bulbs, but will take a look at this again!

Thanks

Update: turns out it was a bulb after all despite them all appearing to work! Easy fix, happy days!
