Try calling HAMLET at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas. I am waiting for my new 330 to arrive from Germany.

Hamlet is a gentlemen and will take care of you. Very low pressure and honest. Give him a call and tell him Larry told you about him.

I purchased my 330i from Nick Alexander through the Ed Cronin in internet department. I almost went with Steve Thomas in Camarillo, but Ed offered flatbed pick up and delivery for scheduled maintenance. I started with e-mails to 13 dealerships, 7 didn't respond and Nick Alexander and Steve Thomas fought for the business. I recommend either.

I just sign today my PO and pay for my car. Hamlet was my CA. All my phone calls and e-mails (believe me it was not just one phone call) was returned promptly. I send e-mail with my offer - hi accepted and there was no pressure to increase down payment. Highly recommended this gentlemen!!!!

I picked up my ordered 330 last Friday afternoon. Hamlet was just wonderful. Glad you had the same experience. It's just a pleasure working with him.

I also bought mine from Valencia BMW my experience was good not great but I bought the first E-90 330i that they sold so I paid more than I should have, but there service department and defentaly there parts guy is great. My last 330i I bought from Harlof and that was a better price but I didnt care for there service Dept but that was in 2001 so who knows now. In 2003 Valencia BMW's service Dept sucked now they have new people and good service advisers.

Three days after I picked up the car a package arrived with four large speciality cookies from a local bakery with a thank you note from the salesmen.
This was the best car buying experience I've had.

BTW, I started with 7 internet sales dealerships. Three did not want to play, four played and two fought for my business. I sent each dealer an excel spreadsheet with the options and retail pricing. All they had to do was fill in my cost for each item. That gave me leverage line item by line item.

I've got some input for you...We just bought our first BMW on Sunday....325i Sedan. Yes, this is my first posting! I am really excited (but that's for another thread).

Irvine BMW - We started there, but were blitzkrieged (sp?) by the sales vultures. They seemed to have a better than thou attitute and expect to get top dollar for their cars. Even on the Certified pre-owned vehicle, they weren't willing to deal much on them...I guess they preferred a full lot.

Crevier BMW (Santa Ana) - They had a spectacular inventory...but unwilling to budge on the pricing.

Sterling BMW (Newport Beach) - I had my reservation before heading into the heart of OC glam....but ventured forward anyway based on a referral. To our suprise, the sales person immediately read the frustration in our eyes and cut right to the chase. They had the vehicle we wanted and got us into a deal we were comfortable with. The finance specialist was equally receptive and frank with us on realistic finanacing options.

I will rate my experience with Sterling an "A". I'll withhold the "+" for my future experiences with the service department or the next vehicle I purchase through them.

Thanks for the feed back Jason and welcome to E90Post. I think you'll like it here.

I got mine at Crevier and got a pretty good deal last September. I wasn't unhappy, but I know I could have done a little better. But as you stated, they weren't budging any further. I just may check out Sterling when I get my next one. Hoping to get an M3 Sedan in about '09. Woohoo!

Savage BMW

Okay, so I know this isn't really in the OC/LA area, but it's seriously worth the drive if it's only an extra 10-15 minutes each way. Both my brothers bought their 3 series cars from Crevier in Santa Ana, which is an awesome dealership if you don't want much of a deal but want great customer service. However, unless you have a really good relationship with a service specialist who actually knows you personally and will work with you, the service department is awful. They consistently forget to get you the loaner you want or any loaner whatsoever and often forget you even had an appointment. By contrast, Savage BMW in Ontario Auto Center is really a great place to both buy & service your car. The service department is knowledgeable and they try really hard to get you your car on time, and as quickly as possible.
Now I know what you're thinking, and no, I do not work for/have any financial interest in Savage BMW. They're just great people who will help you out.

Long Beach BMW and Mini-Cooper

Try Long Beach BMW. I bought a MCS in 2005 and traded it for a 2006 330i.
They have exceptional service and if you buy from them you get free wash once a week for the life of the car. And it only takes 30 to 45 minutes. They are at Cherry Street and 405 frwy.

Hey guys, I'm a first time poster looking for some answers. I noticed on this thread that everyone is posting about how much they paid over invoice. Is this for cars already on the dealer's lot or for internet orders? If it's for internet orders, how do you find the invoice price with options? I'm looking to order a 325i (i have very specific options in mind) and I'm looking for the best way to do it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm in the OC and San Diego area. Thanks.

Welcome. This thread actually is intended for the complaints/situations that we hope you will not encounter while in the process of acquiring your car.

Anyhow, I used Edmunds.com. Invoice price and MSRP are shown. I'm pretty sure e90post members have other sources too.

Good luck.

i had the exact opposite experience with Crevier ... they didn't have the options I wanted, but were more than willing to negotiate the price.

Jeff Kline at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas. I've never dealt with a man that was more professional and straight forward. He didn't give me license plate frames, but gave me a helluva deal on my 06' 330i...lol.

I got my 330 from Hamlet at Bob Smith. He's great too.

And, not getting the license plate frames must have been an oversight, because both our new BMW's came with them. I'm sure they'll put them on if you just ask.

Try Bob Smith in Calabasas (West San Fernando Valley)... Just Great.

I meant the nicer BMW license plate frames, and not the ones that say Bob Smith on them...either way, get a $40 frame free, or xxx over invoice? I'm not going to push something that petty...after all, the service was superb.

My CA at Harloff BMW in Encinitas, CA (San Diego) was superb. Gave me a steller deal on an 335i for ED! Moved me up in production week too!
