DiFeo

I am having issues with them as we speak. I have a call in to the GM to see if he will address my issues. As of yet I haven't ranted nor raved, just trying to go through appropriate channels, but so far am disappointed with the treatment and attitude I've received.

There is a point prven here though. Price is not the most important factor when buying a car. If you pay a little more sometimes it makes it worth it i situation likes this. I try and tell this to people ALL DAY but they just dont listen for some reason.

This is not to make you look stupid e90fanatic as I am just making a general point.

DiFeo does suck

I did an ED through DiFeo based on Bimmerfest recommendations of their ED "specialist". The experience was stressful to say the least. First, they tried to charge me the BMW June '08 increases although I had already locked in at the pre-June prices (and confirmed it with them). Then, they drilled my front bumper and placed a DiFeo plate on, even though I am from PA and told them not to. The CA tried to say it was my fault for not calling back to remind them not to drill it! They did fix it grudgingly, but failed to repair scratches that they were supposed to repair. Also, on the day I was supposed to pick up the car, when I arrived to get it (I live 90 minutes away), they told me it was locked up and the keys weren't available and I couldn't have my car! After 45 minutes of negotiation, they finally called someone in and got my car. My son was with me on pick-up, and said "Dad, why do they just keep making excuses for everything?" Wish I knew.
I paid cash for my car, and didn't even trouble them for a test drive. Just emailed an offer and they accepted. I felt the CA was rude to me on several occasions, and I don't know why. I was never angry or abusive back- I just wanted my car delivered the way ED said it would be-free of defects. They also don't return calls; I had to repeatedly call and hope I caught them at their desk-voice mails didn't get answered. I just think the dealership is very unorganized and poorly managed, and you don't get any personal attention. Sad when you are buying a $42,000 car. I will never again use this dealership-so glad to be free of them!

at the end of the day money counts since the end product is the same. i only deal with the car sales once for each car and I doubt I'd get cars from only one dealership. The thing that pisses me off is Difeo didnt really get me the best deal and I had to experience this mishap.

it's funny actually because the guy first asked me "do you want great service?" it as if he'll charge me a premium for decent service. if that's the case, i'd rather order the car via website, and when the car is ready, i'll go pick up my car without that introductory presentation which often is useless and no value added since I most likely know more about the car than the guy.

They should study and research the new wave of consumers and their habits, just look closely at why people are going to ebay/amazon instead of b&m stores.

im just sharing my .02 as a consumer.

sorry man...u should have took the business elsewhere. though not sure where you'd be better off at....you really have to time your purchase now since none of the dealers here will budge until last minute. for ED, go to Irv since he charges a flat rate but you'd have to choose either go to chicago to pick it up (too far), performance center delivery, or have them ship the car (too expensive).

Well, I used DiFeo because the CA was a Bimmerfest sponsor and was recommended. The reputation did not at all match the reality, unfortunately.

You're from Ohio, you guys can't even run a proper election (pick and pull the lever and try not to "lose" the paper trail, really not that hard). I hate NJ too and I would rarely defend this godawful state.

Sales are horrible and service is just scamming customers. I don't know how they train their staff but the attitude and manners are just horrific. I wish I didn't buy the car from them nor take it back for them to even touch it.

Sales: This guy is unbelievable. Talking down on the customer and also because I'm younger than this mofo, he can just talk to me like a kid. When I ordered my car, I had every single option checked. But he later on called me and mentioned that the 19" wheel option was not available. I asked him to make the amendment on the sales invoice and of course, he'd say he'll "take care of that". Sure enough, when I come into to pick up the car, and check the numbers, the $1000 option was still there but only he hid all the option prices and just had a total. Since I had a number in my mind and the number he told me to write on the check was more so when i inspected, he didn't update the invoice and almost charged me for the option that was never added onto the car. We'd also negotiated that car alarm would be installed and was on the sales invoice but of course, the car had no alarm. When I questioned about it, he just said that the car doesn't come with an alarm. But good thing I GOT IT IN WRITING!!! So the night of delivery, I took my car home, I saw lots of paint defects (sand in the paint).

So I scheduled an appointment for them to installed the missing alarm and also for them to buff out the paint defects. And here comes the service dept....

Service: First they told me that I'll be getting a BMW as a loaner, but later on, I was given a Toyota Prius from Enterprise. The car is great and fun as well so I didn't mind. I thought for just the weekend, I don't mind getting the extra insurance ($25/day) since I'll be returning it on Monday. We noted the issues and said that the car will be done by Monday. (Keep in mind I dropped it off on Saturday morning). Among the items needed to be taken care of, I brought foot pedals and valentine one hardwire for them to install. The tech came and looked at it, and he said everything that's on the list would take 2 hours to take care. That made sense because hardwiring only takes 30 minutes or less. But the service advisor wrote "$260 for V1 hardwire". So I questioned him about why is it $260? Didn't he just say 2 hours for EVERYTHING?! He then tells me that was for internal billing purposes so I stopped asking. But then when I called in on Monday, they didn't even started working on the car!! Then today, at 11:45am, he calls me finally. Everything is installed but the car is with the detailing guy, working on the paint defects. That's fine but then he asks me to pay $260 + tax. I told him "didn't you say that was for internal purposes? You said that everything was covered by the sales when I asked you on Saturday". He denies everything and just told me to pay $200 + tax. He also said that if I don't pay it now, I can't get my car tonight. Honestly, $200 is nothing to me but I really do hope that these people will loose their jobs in the future. This is not customer service and I will for sure give them all "1". I'm extremely dissatisfied with my $58k purchase and definitely will NEVER give them ANY more transactions in my LIFE!

Sorry for the unpolished grammar but I'm just so pissed right now that I need to tell you all about what I had to put through in the last week ever since I gave them my check on 11/23/07.

I went to Difeo in Tenefly and had a very positive experience with them. They let me pick up my car the same day it was delivered. Not only that they completely followed my instructions to the T meaning no car wash, just do the PDI, no bumper drilling, and leave everything alone (yes I picked it up with plastic on the seats and the foam stickers on the door). I will certainly buy from them again when we pick up either a 335 or X3 this Christmas for my wife. Our CA, Roland Llupa, is awesome. He returns calls, follows up, and is very open and honest.

Go see Ryan at Flemington (yes it's in NEW JERSEY!)....

Knows his cars, wants to keep the customer happy, and Flemington has an excellent Service department. I'm on my 3rd BMW from Ryan and my sister just purchased a CPO 530xi from Flemington.

I had great experience buying from DiFeo.
When I got my 330i at DiFeo, there were some problems. But everything was resolved professionally.

When it came time to get my 335i I didn't hesitate to go back to DiFeo. My original CA wasn't there anymore so I worked with a CA that was reccommended by members on E90post and bimmerfest. The CA is Ricki. She is very professional. Everything went smoothly. No BS. It was the best car buying experience. I would definitely buy from her again. I'm looking forward to finally do ED in a few years.

That retard of an CA asked me if im expecting to get a discount off MSRP. THen he comes back form his managers office with a ridiculous quote which was over $100 more than other dealers in the area for a lease for an e92.
Cant stand that dealer after what they put me through with my first e90

bump

searched to see others experience of difeo.

my salesman was great. i had shopped around enough to know what the car was worth, dealer incentives behind the scenes, etc. i test drove the car, told them the price i had in mind, and if he can beat it great, if not, its all good and im just going to look elsewhere. he beat the price i wanted. since then, last time i checked that salesman is no longer working there.

i've had my car in for few random appointments. the service advisors are pretty friendly but their techs are incompetent beyond belief. on 1 occasion, i was returned my car without the belly pan (being installed). i only noticed this when i put my car on a lift for a different reason and saw everything exposed. i brought the car back and asked how come the tech never decided to call me knowing the had a belly plan lying around in his shop. no response, they apologized.

2nd incident - i bought the wheel/tire insurance. i kept losing air but couldn't identify which wheel b/c the tpms would only go away after i inflated 3 of the 4 tires. turns out my rear right tire was shot so they actualy replaced the runflat. great right? well i recently put the car on the lift again to realize those a$$holes actualy repaired one of my tires... repair a rft, wtf? instead of replacing both tires, they only opted to replace the one that was more obvious and plugged the 2nd. incredible...

simply won't be going there anymore.
