What is this tube?

2011 E91 N52KP

While swapping the battery and registered via INPA, I inspected the left rear compartment and saw this hanging tube. Can any help me understand what it is and where it should be connected to?

Much appreciated.

Breathing tube for a captive locked in trunk?

Looks like a wire conduit.

I’d say this a fiber optic cable.
Maybe cd changer preperation?

There is the tapped thread in the body for the bracket too so Knuppel might be closest to correct. Usually they have a green covered fibre optic (MOST) inside though

My car had one. Corrugated plastic that I had only seen on MOST fibers, but there was no fiber. Turned out to be the plastic sleeve/conduit for the antenna wire for a low-jack device hidden up inside the rear quarter panel between the tail light and the fuel filler. Looked almost exactly like that pic. I removed the device. GPS-based recovery is much more effective.

First for thank for the input.

It make sense for it to be a conduit pathway for the CD changer. Looks like it nothing I need to worry about. I will just neatly zip tie the conduit.

Thanks again!
