Engine Start Error
Hi all, quick back story - I've just rebuilt my N55 and I'm in the process of getting it back together. We rechecked the valve timing today (valve cover off). Then after we put it back together, we tried to start it but it wouldn't crank. We had an "engine start error" (or something to that effect) and the fuel pump was running whenever the battery was connected. We tried a bunch of things to diagnose it ( checked all plugs and connections, removed and replaced a bunch of fuses and tried connecting the battery from my Pajero) but nothing worked.
I also tried connecting to it with ISTA, but it wouldn't connect. I couldn't get the ignition on either, but when you press the key in it gave a basic info display and the "engine start error", so there is power to some places, but something isn't right. Any suggestions? |
