What's wrong with my fender??

Hi guys,
The gap between the fender and headlight on my E92 is huge, I can fit the tip of my finger in it. My car hasn't been in accident, and it doesn't seem like re-installing would help either - since there is no bolt near the tip of fender to fasten it toward the headlight.
What could have happened??

Thanks

The good side

I have the exact same issue on my car. Same side, same problem.

The only thing I can think, is at some point during a repair or maintenance something got 'snagged' on that inner fender as the hood was popped and simple bent the fender upward slightly.

I've debated taking to a body shop to see if they can gently force it back into shape. But I just have been too lazy and had a lack of concern over other more immediate issues.

Well you could take off the bumper, and there are adjustments you can make on the lower mounting and the plastic bracket that mounts to the fender, you can most likely get a near perfect fit; but it can be a pain-I actually had a friend who works at a body shop help me out so it wasn't too bad. But I'd assume without removing the bumper you don't be able to get it fixed-permanently at least.

Hi Zack, so you had the same issue? I thought reinstalling the fender doesn't require removing bumper?

Maybe its the hood that's misaligned, instead.
