Deleting adaptive headlights??

To start off, I have searched.. alot..

So here's the lowdown. I'm in need of an adaptive headlight replacement for the third time in around two years. The roads around here just take a toll on these things. (Though this time it was condensation that killed it). Tired of dishing out the time and money constantly to just have the other side have an issue a couple months later. So I've went ahead and ordered a set of ecodes, they should be getting here before this weekend. So I know I'm going to need to code out the adaptive function, but is there anything as far as the wiring harness that I'm going to have to modify? Has anybody on here done this? Walk through or tips on coding them out?

Thanks

You shouldnt have to modify any wiring of any kind. Coding should take care of it.
You know, the adaptive feature only works when the headlights are in AUTO. You could just leave the functionality (in case you ever want it back again), and just flip your headlights to the ON position each time...

autoleveling in adaptive headlights actuated via adaptive modules
so, when you replace them with non-adaptive, you should wire this function to another pins in FRM and in both headlight connectors

Well, my headlights were in pretty bad shape anyway, and the ecodes are pretty, so I'm all in now, haha.

but the ecodes aren't self leveling correct? so why would I need to mess with the leveling function?

Sorry for the noob questions

Yea... What the hell are ecodes?
I had my indie code out my adaptive headlights due to a malfunction I was getting. No other mods necessary.

haha, sorry. They are the black housing depos, and not even e-codes at that, forgot I ended up just ordering the dot ones cause the ecodes were crazy expensive.

Anyway, for knowledge sake. All e-code means is that it complies with the euro spec, so a tighter light pattern and a couple other small changes.
