Any tools available to reset bluetooth on radio?

I recently acquired a 2010 335i. I would like to pair my phone to the car, but when I hit the telephone button on the steering wheel it just goes into limbo. It never times out or comes back to give any options to delete a phone or connect a new phone.

Are there any tools available or tricks to reset the radio to factory defaults? Or is this a dealer only option?

BMW makes you pay for every option.
As a result you get cars that don't have a lot of stuff
most people would thing of as standard.
Also if you are buying a used car there is always a possibility
the last owner messed with it and did something that
will make the factory options it came with non functional.
Just because the steering wheel buttons are there is no
guarantee the options for the buttons are installed or enabled.

Put your vin in here

First you must establish what the car came with best way is to use a Vin
checker .

Then depending on the results it would be a good idea to see what modules
you have under the floor of the Trunk behind the US rear passanger seat .
Because that is where the telemetric and bluetooth ,usb modules are installed.

There are many people that can program these modules better than a dealership
can .

If you want to support the car yourself and are good with PC's
You can have factory diagnostics and programming ability beyond
what the Dealerships have for the price of a 50 dollar cable , a PC
and your time to download setup and learn the programs.

There is a separate bluetooth manual for phone .
There are two types of head units pro radio and idrive/nav and the manuals are
different for each . You can find the idrive/nav manual for bluetooth online.

On the pro radio if you press the menu button a telephone symbol should show up
along with cd , radio and maybe usb or cdc. see next video
