When you say a Apple Adapter, I'm assuming you mean 30-pin connector or something else?

Op this cable is super outdated I have one that's been sitting for 5 years nobody uses iphone 4 anymore.

It's actually why I still have two 4th Gen iPod Nano's for my music, but they're so outdated that they're starting to flip out on a regular basis. I wanted to get a new iPod Nano but when I tried one with the Apple Lightning adapter, it didn't sound right.

I occasionally use my Viseeo Tune 2 Air, but the car always reverts to the radio every time I get out and I HATE the radio here, so I just keep using my trusty iPod and only use the Tune 2 Air on road trips.

I used to keep an iPod 3rd gen in my car but I found myself using my phone more for Spotify and YouTube. Now I just keep the iPod in my e30 and use the lightning cable to play music from the usb in the armrest.

With the combox album art shows up on the idrive wether it be YouTube,Spotify,or my iTunes library

Really? That's weird when I was using the tune 2 air every time I would start the car my iphone would automatically start playing music.

Unfortunately, I don't have Nav (which doesn't bother me), but that in turn means I don't have Combox

The Tune 2 Air has been hit or miss for me in my 335is. In my E90, it worked pretty good. Maybe the Tune 2 Air needs an update or maybe I just need to use it more...

Ever considered a retrofit? I would hate not having an idrive.

I had my LCI E90 for 5 1/2 years which had iDrive and while I loved the ease of access for just about everything, I don't mind not having it, so for me it's just not cost-effective just to have Combox.

I"m gonna check out the website to see if it needs an update and then I'll make it a point to use it for a week to see if I can get it to work correctly. "If you can't win by reason, go for volume!!"

No. I have the 30pin adapter to the modern apple iPhone connector.

It may be older, but maybe someone can use a pristine $100 cable for $40.

Tune2Air also worked extremely well in my car.
