Not if he is going to relocate the amp! Wow Alex the install looks awesome, but FBIS location for the pump is already stealthy enough, if I didn't have a E93 and have the hydrolic pumpm there, that would be my spot for stealthy and safe from leaks location! Keep us posted, I am wondering how the hell are you going to make the tank not seen???....I purchased the 2.5 gallon tank already and have it almost installed on my car...My location is 100% not seen!!!!

Yes there is I think the Bluetooth module on the right side of it, the same position as the pics you showed above.....I have tested the tank for leaks at the point where it attaches to the fuel line and if done correctly the hose needs to be yanked out to make it leak....I will make SURE that connection is secure before I even add any liquids to that tank!

Well the nozzle will be on the far left side of it, what I may do to protect against leaks is drill a hole for drainage on the left hand side right under the hole of the tank..I love the fact that I don't see the tank when I open the trunk!

The pump hose will be on the same plane if not slightly lower than the tank nozzle....It will be less than two feet of hosing...THe only worries will be tank leakage..

Much is going to be made about mounting very soon. One must remember that methanol is highly corrosive to metals and highly flammable. If you drip it on metal or on electronics you can either short out the item or start to quickly destroy metal. This is just my opinion, but I think anyone that would mount either the tank or pump above the battery or any electronics is simply playing with fire... literally. If you get a leak for any reason, like loose fuel tubing, crack in the hose, seals go out on a pump, etc. and it drips on the battery or electronics then your car is going to catch on fire. 50/50 water-methanol burns with an invisible flame and your car will be engulfed in flames before you even realize what is happening. The is the reason my pump is in a plastic "bowl" basically and my tank is sitting on carpet above nothing. Just think long and hard about where and how you mount this stuff. |

Push-lock hose connections are common in the industrial world. They work quite well provided they are properly used.
BTW, how are you going to fill the bottle; remove it? |
