bimmercode

if you have bimmercode and you email them the complications they will walk you through the whole process as they did me. 2011 and its possible with bimmercodes assistance. Even for me.

I emailed bimmercode and their response was,
"Hi,
this is not possible in this case in my opinion.

Kind regards / Schöne Grüße

My request was,
"I have a 2011 BMW 335I E93 and am looking to code the top to open and ideally close with the fob. I don't have comfort access so will need to code it in..."

So if you know what they changed share.

Ok got the top to come down (not up)..
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB (in CAS) was set to nicht_aktiv, now set to aktiv.

Some things to note. With the provided coding from the OP you must hold the lock to fold in mirrors for the unlock button to bring down the top to work. For example you just press lock (no mirrors fold in) then hold unlock the roof wont come down. This is the case for my car (2012 335i e93) anyways but also sounds like most didnt need to change the above option.

I didnt like this and really dont care about the folding mirrors, my main purpose was so i can see the folding roof from the outside for maintaince/function checks. So i disabled...
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB set back to nicht_aktiv
This stops the mirrors from folding in with lock button and now i dont have to have mirrors folded in for the unlock and hold to bring top down to work. This probably also disables top going back up but few have achieved this anyways.

I know this is an older thread. I recently purchased a 2013 335is (E93). It does not have comfort access. I purchased the Veepeak OBD and paid for the full BimmerCode app on iOS. I got it to show the mph on the dash, but it will not open or close the convertible top via fob. I made sure all the available option on BimmerCode were checked “active” but still nothing. I’ve seen on other threads people have used SmartTop but everywhere I look they want over $400 for it. Any help pointing me into the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

What have you coded exactly? If you coded all from the start you know you have to hold lock and fold in mirror to get unlock roof down to work?

So glad I found this thread! I’m driving a 2009 e93 335i, and there is no comfort access. Am I able to code this using the unicarscan adapter with BimmerCode?

Bimmercode with UniCarScan UCSI-2000 Bluetooth.. Is the only one they have listed as compatible... But if you are in the market I would go with MHD orange Wi-Fi adaptor.. I would go with Wi-Fi over Bluetooth which ever way you go.. But if you already have the UniCarScan then it will do...

So the coding mentioned in the first pages of this thread can be done in the expert mode of BimmerCode?

I actually have the MHD orange adapter as well, but I can’t seem to connect it to BimmerCode for some reason. Is there a link which teaches me how to connect it?

Yes can be done in Bimmercode.

Click on upper right three dots.
Go to settings.
Click on adapter.
Selected MHD Orange.

That’s weird. Mine only shows the black adapter. It doesn’t have the orange adapter option. I’m on iOS though. Will there be a difference ?

Hi there — Bimmercode clearly lists the adaptors supported for iOS on their website. For your 2009 335i the list is below. Hope that helps! I'm just waiting for my adaptor to arrive to start using on my E93.

I guess it means that I need an android device to use the orange adapter. Haha.

So the coding options to close the top using the fob has to be done in the BimmerCode expert mode? Can’t wait to try it out

Yes I have done the coding using Bimmercode.. It took them a while to add expert mode to CTM but its an option now.. I had to wait a year.

Only managed to get the windows up using fob so far. I saw in the earlier post that newer software upgrades will cause the coding to not work. Any idea how I can check if my software has been updated? I’m on a 2009 e93 335i .

Need time time to trace the files and see if I can match it line by line
