wheel spacer size.

hi everyone, im looking for answers, i have just changed my bmw stock 17inch staggered rims which were 225/45/17 front on a 8 inch rim and 255/40/17 rears on 8.5 nc rims to the mv1 alloys which the offset is different , the old offset wheels where 34 at the front and 37 at the back, the new wheels are 18inch running 235/40/18 front and 245/40/18 rears, the offset is 47 front and 50 rear, which is saying 13mm deeper into the wheel well, but ive measure 30mm to the inside fender so i was windering if 20mm spacers will work at the rear, and maybe 15 front, can anyone give me ideas please

Not sure exactly what you're asking for, but using a tool like the one linked below is useful to help visualize things:

Not a big fan of spacers and 20mm are pretty chunky. The tyres on the MV1 are the wrong size too, should be 225/40 and 255/35 so that would give less room between tyre and wheel arch if you put the right tyres on. You would be changing the MV1 offset to 32/30 F/R using 15/20mm spacers which would probably be ok. If you run into trouble leave the front as is and use the 15mm on the rear ?

Get a ruler and measure the mm's you have until the fenders. Make sure you get extended wheel stud conversion if you want to run spacers from somewhere like motorsportshardware or something if you care about safety.

Why buy ET47 and 50 on your car? The extended lugs required to make them fit would make me nervous. Buy the correct size and don't worry about the potential problems.
