M-sport spring labelling

Hello, I’m looking for M-sport springs for Non M-sport E91 325i manual 2005. There is quite many types but not easy to choose the right one. In the past I had springs with C6 label which was for standard suspension. I know M-sport should have “D” label but I don’t know the number that varies on the level of equipment from the factory, transmission, engine and bodywork.
Anyone here having similar car still with original M-sport suspension that could give me advice and confirm what springs are good to choose?

Thanks

All M-sport/Sport springs were D#

Generally for front its:
D4 for N52 manual
D5 for N52 Auto (330i manual)
D6 for N52 manual (330i auto)
D7 for N54 Auto
D8 for 335D

That being said convertibles usually go up a number and if its fully loaded with alll the power options/i-drive SOMETIMES they go up a number

For the rear the E90 is D3 for N52 and D4 for N52, I believe coupes are down a number, verts are probably up 1 or 2 and wagons; there are so few rwd w/sport package I haven't seen enough

The rear is where is gets tricky for you as its a wagon. My best advice is go on ebay or used part site and see what they are selling for RWD E91 with sport or m-sport packages and see what pops up

Aha. Change your spring rates, look to your damping. They're best matched on to another

If your front springs are C6, D6 is the sport equivalent.

Your rear springs are probably F3 (because E91), and the sport equivalent is K3.

As others have said, it's best to upgrade your shocks/struts at the same time, and there are a few other mounts etc you should at least consider while you're at it.

Thank you for answers.
Just theoretically, how big issue would be for example to run rear msport springs from E92 335i (D2) on E91 which from eshop information I should choose K2 or K3 ?
I suppose the rear would be sitting lower and during full load it could be dangerous or not?

With the D2 rear you'll probably end up about 16mm lower than M-sport ride height. It will also be a lot softer (543.5lb/in vs 461.5). I would definitely not recommend that.

If you want to use a D spring, you could go for D4/D5, which is a very similar rate to the F3 spring, but shorter so it will give a similar ride height to the K3. D6 springs and up will be similar to the K4+ springs, but generally will have your car sitting lower.

Holy crap. Most of the forums on this topic are dead. I have a similar question. First post on the forums so bear with me…

E92 335 lci xdrive 6AT. Have h&r springs in the front. Looking to lower the rear without ‘squatting’ the car: I know h&r springs in both front and rear will give it that nasty squat. I got the springs as an interim set up before I get some b14s. My main goal with this spring set up is to get rid of that factory monster-truck look. What OEM rear springs can I pair my h&r springs up front with to lower the rear slightly?

Cheers, JN

What springs are in the rear now, and how much do you want to lower by?

It's worth noting that these numbers are approximations, and not to be taken as gospel

Stock springs are in there now. Not sure what code they are. Looking to lower it maybe ~.75”

Photo is with H&R only in the front.

Guys,

I have a e93 330d (2007) with m-suspension.

Looking to replace the springs as they look the original ones. What should I look for to keep the same but new? I can't even find the partnumber for it or the specs so I look for aftermarket options.

Thanks.
