Small update - I had my battery tested and it’s bad. I’ll replace it tonight and see if the issues persist. I’m hoping it was just making the rest of my electrical system work too hard?

Battery didn’t change anything. Car still whines very loud and it sounds like it’s coming from right in front of me while I’m driving. Waiting on boost solenoids to come

Power steering fluid is full. Don’t see any oil filter issues.

Sound is coming from directly in front of me and definitely gets louder with higher RPMS.

Is the whine audible when you rev it at idle?

If so, you might be able to narrow it down with some help using something like a stethoscope?

No I couldn’t hear the whining sound at idle - only while driving.

Another thing - I pulled the vacuum canisters and some lines out to make more room. When I pulled a line off of one canister it hissed for a while, the other one didn’t make any noise when disconnected. I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be independent or not.

It can be full but still be bad. My car was making some noises that had me almost ordering a new steering rack and ps pump. I did a fluid flush and now it is normal.

Does the noise happen if you turn the steering wheel?

It makes the noise even when driving in a straight line on the freeway. It’s perfectly synced with the engine RPM. Does not get louder when turning

Installed two new boost solenoids - zero improvement and still only reaching 7psi.

What are you using to measure your boost PSI? I've had issues with some Android apps, that did either not report boost PSI at all, or numbers that at least appeared wildly wrong.
Are you getting any low boost codes?

This is cheap and worth a shot. Assuming the vacuum lines from your vacuum pump are good, replace the hard line off the vacuum pump.

P/N: 11666769086

If it's leaking, your wastegates won't get the vacuum they need and if it's big enough I'm sure it'll whine. Since your WGDC aren't climbing this system would have my focus, especially since you said the sound appears to be coming from right in front of you.

Also, log boost setpoint and boost mean and get back to me. I have another idea.

I checked your datazap profile, all is good now? Where was the boost leak?
