Cranky You seem to be the only one I can find on this thread that's still active. Would you mind shedding some light? |

I did mine with a rocker switch, so I can switch it on and off with out searching for the remote. The solenoid is activated by grounding it. So what I did is use an ON-OFF-ON switch. Cut the ground wire, splice one wire to each side of the clipped wire. Basically you are putting a switch inline, but the wire allows you to put the switch where you want. The center terminal on the switch is runs to solenoid side of the cut. Then one of the side terminals to the other side. Ground the remaining terminal in a convenient location. This will allow you to set it as always loud, always quiet, or stock functionality.

I have made the harness but cannot get the wire if layout correct, I’ve noticed that the red and white cable seems to be permanent live and the purple colour wire switches from live to neutral, so I’m confused as well.
Can anyone help? |

Hi
Bumping this up. I have bought one of these from someone and it works fine to close but it won't open. I think there's an issue with my vacuum or the actuator. Does anyone have the diagrams of where the vacuum runs so I can test it? It closes no problem of I use pliers to open it from below so it's not stuck. |

Wiring diagram for he cheap e-bay relay
Here is the wiring diagram for the cheap e-bay relay DC12V Relay 1CH Wireless RF Garage Door Remote Control Switch Transmitter #SF. In my picture The ground (-) is the brown wire and the postivie (+) is the blue wire. The black connects the negative to the COM and the (NO) Normally Open connects to the Grey wire of the vacuum solenoid on the car. This display is just for educational purposes and acted as my test bench before I wired it into the car.
