Appreciate the advice.

I'm thinking about it. The other half thinks I'd be better off without the stress but I do see the point from the other side.. Namely I work f*cking hard for what I have and what's the point owning if I can't enjoy it.

I'm a little bit out of love with driving at the moment owing to this whole mess. I think the best thing to do is go out with proper driving mates and enjoy the car and the experience of it. It's been too long since I've actually enjoyed the car which means the bad is outweighing the good a bit right now.

Roll on the next E90post meet in any case.

Dave i dont enjoy my car as much in winter

Winter tyres suck with traction, roads are greasy and the car always looked a bit dirty.

Come warmer weather everything will change again

^ This.

Saturday was actually warm (13c) and sunny and the car felt completely different and much more comfortable. We're back down to 0c again and the car feels poop, tyres are hard as nails.

I went for a run last night and several times I was surprised how slippy the roads were. It wasn't wet at all either. Some of the tarmac felt like it was softy and gooey still and slippy salty crap everywhere.

I don't mind playing on the edge of traction. In fact I actively enjoy it for the most part. You certainly need to know how to drive in conditions like this but I personally feel more than comfortable in this regard.

But you lot are right. Come winter I'm sure I'll be washing it every few days and really loving the car again.

I've driven for 8 years now and never felt so down on driving. It's damn well not the car because I love the way it drives and the performance. It's entirely me. I feel guilty even being negative as my lovely 335d has sensitive emotions
