Bullet dodged!

Just heard from the owner of my old E90 as he needs a bit of background on the service history, nothing major. Really nice guy as well so happy to help. I'm still desperate to one day get my CHs back so do prod him for updates every now and then.

But.

Sold the car on 79.

He's only put 6k on it in the year he's owned it, but last week the turbo went! At 85

Guess I sold it at about the right time!

Good news is the car still looks just as nice as when I sold it, washed every week. He's in Bristol so I never see it around but I'm glad it hasn't been destroyed.

Heh.

Well, that's it really

Dave

Damn the wheels are beautiful!!!

What front splitter is that?

Did you paint the engine top cover too?

Your car looks so dark and moody, awesome

My old car

It was a 3d Design front splitter which was custom molded into the M Sport bumper by a body shop.

Engine cover was standard, just clean - and with a nice strut brace.

And I love the CHs and want another set, or this set back.

Still miss the old girl. New girl isn't bad either though

Out of curiosity, are we still seeing reports of the turbos going pop on 320d's around that kind of mileage? I rarely ever visit any of the technical parts of this forum now but i remember there was a bit of a trend with 320d's with the Mitsubishi turbos devouring them around that kind of mileage.

Here's a thought. The new owner could sell you back your CHs to help raise funds for a new turbo.

Yep it's an old mitsu turbo and the "known problem".

I do keeeeeeeep pestering him about the CHs One day I'll get them back I hope heh. M3 fitment / staggered, hard to come by. Cost me £900 used when I bought them and they were £1600 new at the time. They're over 2k new now! EEEEEK.

But letting them go secured sale of the car at a great price, so..
