Anyone bought from Swift before? They are non negotiable and their inspection report is very unclear
Any insight on this might be helpful
Nice looking car and should hold its value, not exactly a buy-it-now price.

I passed on buying a BMW 1M from Shift in 2017. Great car, solid price. Could tell it had track usage but they would not allow a PPI , only post purchase during their return window.

We later sold a Mazda3 to Shift, painless process and the highest offer across dealers and similar outfits.

Thanks for the insight.
Price including taxes and their fees adds a hefty 4K markup.

I would get them on the phone and see what they are willing to do in terms of fees or reduced cost on shipping? Accident on Carfax seems fairly minimal (1 corner?) and low mileage cars are rare.

As a CA car little concern for rust or corrosion. Budget $2,500 for any deferred maintenance in the first year and you should be set, these are solidly built cars.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...328i-wagon-12/ Y’all see this e91 sell? Perfect spec. Relieved it sold for what it did. I was holding out for one in this exact spec but ended up finding its twin in sedan form (rwd 6mt alpine/saddle m sport) and settled on it. Glad settling saved me $20k+ lol.

Is it just me or did this sell cheap? Perfect spec with low miles and nice OEM + mods. What do people think?

It sold sold on the low end if you compare it to this 07 with halogen headlights…

Yeah completely agree! This pre-lci wagon also spent its whole life on the east coast was just cleaned up deeply to hide any surface rust. I don't understand BAT at times some boring tourings sell for crazy money then the really rare and nice specs are a hit or miss.

Agree, I was scratching my head on that one too. At first I was thinking it's pretty poorly optioned - like really no options. Halogen, no heated or power seats, not comfort, convenience,.. basically nothing. But then the blue one that wend for $38K also was very poorly optioned. It had xenons, but that was about it - no heated or power seats, not comfort, convenience,.. basically nothing. And the white one had all standard mods, plus the PE.

Maybe it was the rust or the stigma of the carfax reports...... Still, I thought it would at least crack $30.

It sold cheap I thought. Great color combo and correct drivetrain. For people looking at these cars as an “investment” the accident history likely put them off. Takes the right buyer to pay a premium for these as they need to be all cash or mostly cash to cover the delta between KBB and actual sales price. I’m not in the market for a 4th wagon but probably would have been if I knew it was going to sell in the mid-20s!

FWIW this example sat on the market 4-5 years ago for a long time. The guy that owned it was unwilling to budge on his then astronomic price compared to other E9X variants. Funny thing is that he was ultimately right on the rarity of these.

Completely agree with you! I think the accident and surface rust held this back. Even though it sounds like the accident wasn't bad at all and was repaired at BMW still scares off some buyers. Was hoping this could be a good reference points for our BSM wagons and was a bit disappointed haha.

I remember seeing the previous owner try and sell it for awhile. Everyone was giving him a hard time saying it's only a 328i and wagon. Guy was right lol

Hello folks! I haven't been around these parts in quite some time, but I have been VERY busy with my E91.... New thread coming soon, keep your eyes out.

Anyway, I did want to chime in on this image and the confusion over the left rear panelling. I believe this is the trunk panel for the optional additional battery. When I was searching for my black interior panels, I found a lot that were stated as "for the optional additional battery"... I'm not 100% sure, but I think this could be it.

That is all for now.

I also thought it was cheap. It did has some rust we talked about earlier... but after fees that is nearly $28k... I did however believe it was a $30k car.

The e61 on BaT also went for a price below what I expected. I am starting to believe there is an overall softening of the used car market. Or perhaps it is winter. However, one or two exceptions don't make a rule yet.
