Disconnected wire under Fender...what connects to it?

I noticed there was a loose wire that was not connected to anything. By looking at the pictures, does anybody know what connects to it? I think it may be the crash impact sensors (i.e. acceleration sensors), but I'm not sure and don't want to risk paying for something I may end up not needing.

Also does anyone know if a disconnected crash impact sensor could trigger the airbag warning light to turn on??

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

It might help to specify what area of the car that is...as we can't tell where that wire is from any of the pictures.
